Thou shalt not sidegrade

esp firmware

  • Loop to check connectivity
  • Break out setup code into functions
  • Create impl for display
  • Option to set MAC address and other networking options
  • Gracefully handle inability to connect (Update display)
  • Re-try connecting to wifi
  • Set backlight and other display options from server
    • Flash backlight?
  • Scroll title
  • Display multiple events (or just the next one?)

proxy software

  • Reservation feature

Hardware

  • 4x20 display or better (can you find an actual LCD)
  • Control buttons to swap between screens?
  • Thinner, Smaller footprint (requires PCB?)
