Enhanced posts-dropdown selection and editing

I'm finding the posts-dropdown feature to be very useful, however I'm concerned that, as my site grows, it will become increasingly difficult to find posts. In particular, the posts are presented in ID order. The allowedPostStatus filter is useful, but limited.

Some of the things I'd like to see:

• The ability to filter posts by one or more tags.
• The ability to sort the posts by title, date, etc.
• The ability to search for posts.
• The ability to reorder posts. Currently posts are always added at the end of the list.

The filtering, sorting, and searching capabilities are all present in the Posts page.

From a UI perspective, one possible way to extend the current functionality would be via an "Advanced Search" button that opened a popup with a UI siimilar to the Posts UI. Some of the properties, such as selection by tag, sort order, etc. could get their defauilts from the config.json file.

Too much related to a specific configuration - it will be useless for most of the themes and users, and also can be complicated to implement - no plans for it.

I agree, we will start with ordering alphabetically and also we will add an options for more params to use during sorting

You can search posts - just write text in the input inside dropdown - it works for every dropdown - posts, tags, authors, pages :)

It will be solved with option to change a way how posts are ordered in the dropdown
