Here's what I mean when I say "follow up chains" of task:
I have Task A that I'm doing on behalf of Person A. I want to a) be sure to notify Person A that the task is done and b) I get a confirmation from them that they know it's done.
I consider steps a) and b) to be follow up tasks. step a) is triggered when Task A is done and follow up Task X gets created. When Task X is completed, Task Y gets created for step b).
I know about task dependencies but and these three tasks could be set up like that but something like this gets confusing and repetitive especially for more complex follow up chains:
Get feedback from Client on Task such and such
tell client that such and such was done
Review the such and such task
Wait for Tom to tell me the such and such task is done
Tell Tom to do the such and such task for me
Any thoughts on how something like this could be pulled off? I've got my eye on using a tool like https://metacpan.org/pod/Taskwarrior::Kusarigama to pull this off. Anybody out there familiar with it? But to date, I've only done very basic hooks, copy and pasted from other sources so this is fairly daunting.
Wondering if there might something like this already out there or if anyone can offer advice. Thanks.
