How to clear modifier flags when trying to perform axuielement's action?

I bind hotkeys to select sidebar items of Finder by finding the axuielement for the row object and perform "AXOpen". However it will trigger unintended action when "option" or "command" is pressed (often the case because it is invoked by self-customized hotkeys).
How to avoid such behaviors. I tried posting "eventtap" event of empty flags but it did not work.

just adding a delay between posting event and perform AXAction is OK, though it may be affected by too quick consecutive triggering.
