libdb400/QSQCLI is somewhat buggy and either isn't validating its arguments properly or something similar - valid values according to documentary generate various invalid pointer problems. The problem is the signals to kill the program on the ILE side also immediately take down the PASE process associated, with no handling.
Anyways, because of that, stored procedures can be a bit weird. I suspect it's the fact that an argument like "scale" is 0 and this somehow causes it to freak out? Been a few months since I've validated this.
