As I understand this ontology intends to include a large amount of combinations of concepts coming from the OEO. I suspect that we can add a lot of value by allowing simplified reasoning tasks using profiles OWL profiles such as EL, RL or QL. For example, SNOMED CT uses the EL profile which allows good TBox reasoning for their applications.

I would tend towards QL since the data we annotate is almost always in some tabular form. But we can discuss this at some point if we need this and maybe have some ideas on how to implement this. I know how to use ROBOT to make an ontology EL but for other it may get complicated because of their superclass constraints.
