In the original post @fballiano suggested using mass action. This is not the solution for this feature request because when using mass action it should be at least one action but there isn't one. Using mass action without an action we will get an empty dropdown list and it wouldn't look professional at all. I analyze a more elegant solution by creating a new option when adding a column as follows.
If checkable is set to true a checkbox will appear like when using true values for filter and sortable. Bellow is a simulation of the final result By clicking on that checkbox all rows would be selected/deselected. The same behavior like Select All/Unselect All in mass action. |

I will analyze this template and I will check if I can add the option to select them all even if mass action does not allow this feature here. A box or button with JavaScript attached which when clicked selects all other boxes. I have a store where the users want to export only a few attributes and they ended up exporting them all and then editing the CSV file by deleting columns. Obviously takes time. Another idea would be to reverse the functionality. As it is now when you select something it skips from the export, but if what is selected is it exported? |

ORIGINAL POST FROM HERE #1597
I really don't understand why the column Skip was left without a [Select All] check box.
Let's say there are 250 attributes and I would like to export only SKU and special prices. As it is right now in OM I have to press the [Continue] button to export all rows then deleting the unwanted columns by editing the CSV file.
By adding a check box on the Skip column I can reduce the time spent in getting the information I want. With one click I select all rows then deselect those I need. There is no need to edit the CSV file and get rid off the other columns.
