Upgrading from 19.4.x to 20 database: changes significant or none?

I just did a new install of v20 with an existing database of v19 on a different base url. After the installation I have switched back to the original baseurl which allows me to login still with v19. This seems to go ok, or is this not recommended?

I used the same crypt code with the install of v20.

I have eg. cache management that is configured off in v19 yet it is on v20. Or is this not stored in the database?
