Surprisingly yes, seems like the official app is just blocking sending as the messages I send with this app show up on the "operator messages" app too.

Was trying to get phone calls working with the drivers here when I stumbled across this app. (originally used some third party apps to do SMS)

I also tried phone calls, but as the dialler didn't show up, I didn't dig deeper.
