Getting a deprecation warning printed to stdout

The warning looks like this:

This is super annoying because this directly affects users and there's no way to suppress it 😞

Thank you for your issue! This should be changed, but I'm not sure what the behaviour should be. I'm more than open to suggestions and PRs addressing it.
