Description

Many users have asked to be able to disable authentication, that should be an env variable

Priority

Medium (Would be very useful)

To add onto this idea. Allow a "preview" to Homarr and if you want to do any admin stuff then you need to actually log in. I have Authelia setup as SSO for some users can use Homarr but they do not need Admin access.

@Meierschlumpf Can you help me with understanding the deprioritization in this? My logic here is that for those of us with SSO and homarr behind it, latest versions of homarr cause two methods of auth needed for users to use and enjoy homarr and its feature set

Can you create a feature request regarding forward auth on the new repository?
Disabling auth itself does not work, because users need to be identified. But it could be possible to support forward auth depending on the amount of work / complexity
