I've noticed an issue when I add checkpoints to the Autoprune folder. Sometimes when it processes them it will remove them from the folder but other times it doesn't. When I then restart the UI, it will create a new copy of the checkpoints.

Windows seems to be locking the file which prevents it from being deleted. What types of models are being left behind? Just .safetensors or is it random?

I suspect the safetensors library is leaving a file handle open somehow, so ive changed to a different loading in 3bdd184. Could fix it.

I only tend to use files in .safetensors format. I'll try the fix. Thank you.

I tested with 8 .safetensors files. 5 were removed and 3 failed.

I will have to boot up windows and see if i can replicate the issue. Another thing it could be is an antivirus, they scan files that get opened which may be locking them.

I am presently having this issue, also on Windows.
No antivirus that would be scanning them, and I see no access to the file other than python. I haven't noticed any pattern to the files affected, although I also haven't been watching them too closely.
