The Salty Fix

This release fixes several bugs. Updating to this version is strongly recommended to reduce your sodium intake in a hardcore Minecraft diet. Then again, you may have only encountered properly salted batches, so you may never have encountered these bugs. Maybe you have encountered other bugs? Let us know! Here at Hardcore Alchemy Food and Tea Co. (R), we pride ourselves in the highest possible quality standards for niche alpha modpacks containing discount Java code from dozens of unaffiliated suppliers, in addition to our own super secret lab of sentient computers 3d printing programmers at state-of-the art 1mm resolution!

  • Fixed Obsidian Sheepmen from Ad Inferos spawning zombies... and baby zombies. This fix was not functional in 0.3.4; it works in 0.3.5
  • The player is now prevented from morphing when it would cause suffocation damage. *shakes fists at stairs*
  • Fixed the morph blacklist, for real this time. Here's a general rule: if a mob doesn't have a level, you can't get its morph. This applies mainly to human-like creatures, bosses, and stuff that shouldn't be alive but technically is alive.
  • As a side effect of the mob level blacklist fix, future Minecraft Comes Alive villages should no longer be abandoned/wiped from existence. Yep.
  • Fixed thirst decreasing in permanent morphs which had no thirst bar.

This release mainly fixes some annoying bugs that occur in specific situations.

  • Fixed melon/pumpkin stems not decaying in winter from Tough As Nails
  • Fixed interesting graphics issues when turning into a squid morph with the Tough As Nails thirst bar enabled (Note: this only affects a more recent Metamorph build with some behind-the scenes refactoring, which is not included in version 0.3.3 of the Hardcore Alchemy modpack)
  • Fixed Tough As Nails thirst bar disappearing when the Ars Magica mana bar was visible
  • Made Hardcore Alchemy expect Tough As Nails version 1.1.1.19. This is my way of reminding my future self to remove the Tough As Nails fixes from Hardcore Alchemy, once they are no longer needed.
  • Prevented hunger bar from theoretically not going down for a very long time after respawning with Dissolution installed
  • Fixed the humanity bar disappearing when the armor toughness overlay from Potion Core was enabled
  • Fixed being able to get certain morphs in a single kill that were meant to be unobtainable, like Villagers or Druids
  • Fixed the modpack guide section on Astral Sorcery mentioning the wrong crafting table

Hotfix and Max Humanity

This is a quick release to address a significant bug involving morphs, but you get a feature as a bonus!

  • Fixed a bug where most permanent morphs were missing nutrition/thirst/dietary restriction settings. Cows refuse meat, nether mobs need no water, and overall nutritional requirements are they way they're supposed to be.
  • Added the ability for players to increase their max humanity over time as they gain morphs.

Here are the new features and fixes specifically added by the mod in the 0.3.0 release:

  • A guide for the modpack, craftable with two pieces of dirt.
  • Dietary restriction values added for Unique Crops, Ad Inferos, and Village Box
  • Make some permanent morphs not have the need for thirst
  • Workaround for broken Harvestcraft cropsDropSeeds=true config option (no more cheesing crop growth by planting and harvesting seeds!)
  • Reduce the amount of screen clutter while in the incorporeal form from Dissolution
  • Prevent hunger and Tough As Nails thirst decreasing while incorporeal
  • Make hard the default difficulty level for new worlds
  • Add the ability to interact with a crop without harvesting it by holding a stick in your hand (fixes issue with right click to harvest and Unique Crops)
