Feature Request: Support for Variable Element Spanning in Masonry Layout

I would like to request the ability to configure certain elements in a masonry layout to span multiple columns (e.g., two or three) or multiple rows.

If this is already possible, I would appreciate guidance on how to implement it, as I may consider contributing to its development.
