I think the search box and the clear button looks slightly too large. Actually, I don't think we need a clear button at all, I would just label this button Search instead and have no grey prefilled search text in the search bar. Then I would move the entire search section to the top right and make it smaller. The placing of the advanced search button also does not work, currently it does not look like a button but a field where I need to type something. I think we could replace it by a small ? button that is placed in one line with the other fields.
