Describe the task
Refactor the file so it simpler to use for new NMP and taking time to understand the variable names.

Acceptance Criteria

review old NMP and see how it works
NMP file is suitable for new NMP
ensuring the correct types are used (no more "any types")
ensuring variable names are understandable
ensure that the new file works with all existing variable references (make sure it doesn't break anything)

Additional context

Will need to review the flow of the old NMP and view the .json to see what is produced
Reach out to SO, if uncertainty is present after refining the file
