Hello,

Carlos from Nautilus team here. We are porting Nautilus to gtk4 for 3.30 (or 3.32 depending on our discussions with extension devs). We were wondering if would be possible for this extension to be ported to gtk4 too and what's the overall status of the extension.

Let me know if you have any question. Also feel free to reach me over #nautilus at irc.gnome.org as csoriano.

Cheers

Hey,
Thanks for opening this issue! I'm going to work on the next few days on a new version using libgit2 to improve the whole structure of the code.
I'm willing to keep my Nautilus extensions up to date and port them to gtk4.

By the way, is there a way to provide this extension for the flatpak version of Nautilus? This way I can try it using the gtk4 branch of Nautilus?

cool! We will most probably delay it until 3.32 though, so there is time.

Unfortunately not, we are looking on making that work though. You can follow the progress (when there is any) in https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/nautilus/issues/476

The upcoming GNOME 43 changes the Nautilus API so this extension will break: https://gnome.pages.gitlab.gnome.org/nautilus-python/nautilus-python-migrating-to-4.html
