There are several reports from users stating that the browser locks up when they enter or type into the address bar if they are using Brave in combination with the Citrix workspace. The behavior appears to be consistent and is still present in the latest build of the browser. So far reports have only noted the issue occurring on Windows and Linux systems.
Steps to reproduce
(Steps taken from user in main thread who provided them)
Connect to Windows VDI via Citrix Workspace
Copy something to the clipboard in Windows in the VDI
Open new tab in Brave running on the computer running Citrix Workspace (not the VDI, but the connecting machine) and start typing in the address bar
Brave essentially freezes takes many many seconds to register the typed keys, but it will eventually “unfreeze” and “refreeze” when you start typing again
In Windows in the VDI, go to Clipboard settings in Settings and press the Clear button (clearing the copied data from the Clipboard)
Go back to connecting computer that is running Brave, start typing and address bar and there’s no more freezing
