How to add limitation to nodes and Ports/connections .

Hi

Can I add limitations to nodes and connections.

I only want n number of a particular instance of a node type available.
Also
I want to only allow n number of connections from a particular type of port. like how inputs only take one in connection.

This is not really an Issues .. Maybe more a how to / future request.
