For this issue, is attaching something similar to this dropdown to every video what we're looking for?

Exactly. We want to make it easy for a student to select an alternative experience (inote v watch video) for a particular item, if they have been published.
In terms of a design, it would be good to make something futureproof: i) Maybe students can create their own inotes docs(though I expect these would be cloned from the official version by the instructor) ii) There could be different official inote versions (e.g. Simplified e.g. different languages).
However if it is not possible to design for this, that's okay - better to have something that works for the simplest case (zero or one published inotes available for a specific video)
