Breaks Syntax Highlighting for most languages

Both this extension and "Paradox Syntax Highlighting", when either are enabled, will cause syntax highlighting for XML, Lua, and CSV to break. In this, I mean that brackets will still be colored, highlighted when moused near, and

I do have about 40 extensions, some affecting some of these languages (Lua Language Server, Rainbow CSV, Auto Close Tag, Auto Complete Tag, Auto Rename Tag) but none should affect syntax highlighting negatively.

Example file uploaded here from an obsolete WIP. This is a Lua mod for a game that had syntax highlighting when I disabled "Paradox Syntax Highlighting" and CWTools.
