Running on kali latest with driftnet 1.3.
Nothing is displayed but the error is given once on stderr for each packet analysed

What type of link is the interface on your capturing?

A tcpdump -i ethXXX -e -t could give a guess.

En10mb, its weird cus I can see the code check for it that should be picking it up. Unfortunatly I dont have the time to play with it atm else I'd give it a debug myself. It's a kali 2019 linux vm running in virtual box, with a named nat network. I checked the driftnet version and it was the current one. Other similar apps like the dsniff package and urlsnarf are working so I think its driftnet specific, probably just something borking the string returned into that if statement, case sensitivity / invisible char, something daft. Hopefully that'll be enough info to repro the issue quite easily :)

Hi,

May you pass a pcap capture of the traffic (including some traffic with images)?

Take care with privacy, microsoft is seeing us ;)

This way I can debug it.

Thanks,

Same here! Is the project deprecated? (I haven't seen anything current about driftnet being working in 2022)

Anyone could provide a pcap capture file with some erroneous packets, so I can debug it ?

Thanks !

That was too long ago. I had a new setup and it doesn't happen again.
