Add a way to edit the group that already exists

Hi, first of all awesome extension.

I am using this for my morning of work and it is pretty helpful.

Because I was in a rush to fix a few bugs I end up only adding one cloudwatch group. Later I tried to add more to same group but i couldn't without deleting the previous one.

There is a way to do this or am i missing something?

I know, I still need to add edit functionality. However, you can edit the service manually by editing .vscode/settings.json file.

You can also help me by suggesting any new features. Some service from AWS (or other providers) that would save you some time. I was thinking of replicating DynamoDB client for MongoDB, SQS, S3...

S3 will be preatty good (it will be a lot of work too)

Amplify would be neat too (Just to check if the build is completed or if it give any error)

Cognito (I don't know how much you can add because I don't use it on a daily basis)

Since we are already brainstorming here, I have a question about a potential PRO version.
As you can probably imagine, developing this takes time, and if this can be something bigger, I will need some kind of revenue so I can focus on it.

I don't want to charge for something that is already free, so I was thinking about making some new features available only to premium users.
Another option is to offer a free unlicensed app and show a dialog about it (something like sublime text).

So I'm asking whoever I can about it, can you imagine yourself buying a subscription to that? What option seems better to you? And if you would buy it, what would be the amount you are ok with? My initial idea was to offer it for $4 per month (more info on potential pricing).

I think you need to keep in mind that a Pro version need to give you more for less work or (like you said) features that you don't have in AWS. First try to think in freelancers or small business. What a team of one person would want or like.
If you want to charge monthly it should be a service (have an account and saving in some cloud all that you have) not a licence to access more features, for that you should buy one time maybe.

• Automated scripts to create something in aws is good example (since you are accessing to aws api shouldn't be complicated)

  • Backups of dynamodb/mongodb (creating them and applying them)

• Saving some of the searchs that you have made

• Kibana integration (or similar), this will help with ElasticSearch service

• Acessing VPCs (it will be needed for kibana)

• Integrating Amplify/cli in a visual way (don't know if you would be having troubles)

Don't try to start making money now, think of that later. I think you need to gather more users first and have a more robust extension.

I will consider it. To be honest, I wasn't planning charging for anything but I saw similar apps like dynobase and thought I can offer something similar.

But I think you are right about going for a premium too soon. I guess I was just impatient :)
