@m0rp43us: I see that OpenmeteoPy is a effectively an API wrapper, but does not sport a CLI interface yet. That's fine. So, in order to put an actionable item here, and in order to ask the community about whether that would make sense, I could imagine a benefit by unlocking the corresponding resources through Wetterdienst's CLI subsystem, if that would fit. @patrick-zippenfenig: Do you know about any other CLI programs for the Open-Meteo API other than Weather-Cli, which you listed on the README? Obviously, we are not aiming to reinvent the wheel, but rather to combine components reasonably, that's why I am asking to prevent us exploring into the wrong directions. |

@amotl thanks for the initiative! I have noticed the A CLI integration could a good fit and enables users to compare gridded weather model data with station data. Existing CLI integrations only visualise current weather conditions and a 7 day weather forecast. One potential issue is the variety of available weather variables, models and options. This can be challenging to document and understand by users. Although only a selection of 10-20 weather variables will be interesting for most users. On the technical side, I do not see any issues. |

Hi there,
@patrick-zippenfenig is incredibly busy on Open-Meteo, and I just discovered OpenmeteoPy by @m0rp43us. Kudos for your excellent and paramount work in the area of unlocking and refining raw public data.
I wonder if it makes any sense to work on stacking those packages, by leveraging Open-Meteo within Wetterdienst, and then wrapping all up into a submodule for the Deutschland package, alongside its Deutschland dwd-api submodule.
It could be a matter of some smart glue code, or it could be a matter of complete and utter nonsense. In any case, I wanted to dump that idea here, in order to check if that would resonate with somebody else.
With kind regards,
Andreas.
