Log in with QR code dies if you background the app

Steps to reproduce

1. Where are you starting? What can you see?
   Log in by scanning a QR code in Element Web
   Wait whilst it spins (on both apps, rendering web unusable whilst mobile slowly logs in)
   Get tired and switch to another app on the phone
   When you come back to Element X ~1 minute later you're presented with the normal login screen again :(

• Keep logging in even in the background

• Reset back to totally unloggedin state
