Animate screen rotation #1985

Problem

When rotating a device with an accelerometer the screen turns entirely black before reappearing in the new orientation

Proposal

A little animation between the two states would be nice

It looks like on Wayland there's no more screen going black but it does just snap into the new position without any animation
