We currently rely on the input editor changing to trigger a re-render. We can't rely on this, since sometimes we won't require input.

Describe the bug
Prompt not switching via dropdown when multiple prompts are available in js-schoolAgent. Tested on IDX using the sample.

Using the js-schoolAgent sample and 1.0.0-rc.15 the prompt dropdown doesn't switch the displayed prompt

I was able to reproduce this. It's specific to whatever is happening in this sample. Looking into it.
