Crowdin have a feature for in-page translation. The translator opens the document/course, and can click on elements to translate them, which opens a pop-up.

With AsciiDoctor the process isn't perfect. Things like crossreferences, links etc aren't shown correctly in the document. Seeing everything in place is great, but the broken syntax might be a bit too confusing.

Example: https://docs.gbif-uat.org/georeferencing-calculator-manual/translation_1.0/aa/ (I will remove the example when translation on this document starts).

Note you'll probably need to disable adblockers, tracking protection etc to make this work.

If like the Transifex option this requires non-free JS running on the site itself, then already a bad idea.
Turning off blocking on Crowdin (not all too unlike using it at all) means being susceptible to all sorts of tracking and resale.
