It's a follow up on some discussions we had a few years ago, including with Ben. Many people working in enrichment analysis do want to have access to actual gene sets. At the time, I was working on something to extract gene sets for every BP, MF and CC, taking into account the various relationships in our ontology. But this was never published nor fully tested.
Could you consider in the future GO releases to create gene sets (.gmt) for all these BP, MF, CC ? Maybe also for the most useful slims ? I think it would really help the overall community. For the moment, most people rely on MSigDB.
