For each FOV, collapse / project regional timepoints into a single volume (collapsing time dimension), and probably single dimension (collapsing $z$ by max-projection or by mean-of-pixels). NB: either of the aggregations along $z$ could be done through the whole stack, or just by taking the pixels in a relatively small $z$ depth around the center of the spot.
