Like discussed in #10440, it was confirmed that this log-message leads to confusion and I was asked to open an issue so it's not forgotten to be rephrased/fixed.

"Classic mode enabled" is a log message coming from upstream Prometheus Alertmanager that's indicating the "UTF-8 strict mode" support is not enabled.
