Getting a 404

I wanted to report the same issue. It seems like the format of the gist-ID has changed. IDs that just contain numbers work, e.g. http://gist.io/582781. (https://gist.github.com/mbostock/582781)
But the ones where the ID contains numbers an characters do not, e.g. (http://gist.io/897d2a5bf0cd5ff32797) https://gist.github.com/staeff/897d2a5bf0cd5ff32797

Someone should clone this repository, fix it, and send him a pull request. It's not working for me either.

Still an issue. I notice it works on older gists that uses integer ID but for hashes it doesn't

Should have been fixed by Pull request #67 due to use of integer instead of alphanumeric in url parameter
