Unable to set up Pyminuit in Mac Leopard

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Following the installation steps for installation until setting up pyminuit 
2.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The set up should work properly but instead I see:
/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/5.1.1/python:
/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/5.1.1/python: cannot execute
binary file

I see the above output after typing the command:
python setup.py install --with-minuit=/Users/shriv29/Minuit-1_7_9/


What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I downloaded Minuit 1.7.9 and Pyminuit. I have Enthought Python
Distribution (EPD) installed on Mac Leopard 10.5.8

Please provide any additional information below.
My path variable in the .bash_profile is set to finding python installed by
EPD.
