What is the reason for JSR not beeing a TypeScript only registry?
Is it just to increase popularity?
NPM wasn't really designed from the start to support TypeScript but it does now. All other feature like authentication, scoring, documentation that JSR supports are just additional features that exist. So why carry throuth all the old npm JavaScript packages and not just make a cut to support TypeScript only. Are there any other reasons besides "compatibility"?
