RoundTripper fires too late, logging is broken

@ncdc and I noticed today that the RoundTripper we add here runs after the others that set up the resource path, so the klog.V(6) output for the path we're sending requests to, etc, is wrong and does not reflect where we actually send them. We need to determine if its possible to reorder things here so that the verbose logging output is correct.
