Now, it's possible that this feature is already implemented and that I could not locate it, or that I'm creating a duplicate issue, but a cursory search through available issues didn't yield what I thought to be similar requests. I apologize in advance if I'm polluting the issues with a repeat!
When I saw "bidirectional" in the description for this Add-On, what I expected was the ability to create new calendars that would exist in my GCalendar account from directly within Thunderbird, so I wouldn't have to go into GCalendar's web platform, create them there, then have to subscribe from within Thunderbird (admittedly, that last step is significantly easier with this extension, and I'm incredibly happy with it on that front!) It doesn't seem like this is natively supported, as selecting "Google Calendar" from within the New Calendar wizard only shows available calendars to subscribe to, rather than the option to create new ones.
This would make it significantly easier to use Thunderbird with a Gmail account, as opening a browser exclusively for creating a new calendar is a bit of a hassle! Naturally, I'm sure an easy fix would be to switch away from Google's services, but alas, not in the cards quite yet. 🤷🏽
