Why are window animations not working properly for me?

Trying to get window animations working, but they seem to be super inconsistent with if they trigger or not, and I am not getting an animation at all when I move the window with warp or swap.

Yes, I have SIP disabled.
This line I am using to turn on animations in the config is yabai -m config window_animation_duration 0.2

And replace the contents of /etc/sudoers.d/yabai with the output

Also check the permission in system settings for screen capture for yabai.

And better use HEAD version
brew upgrade yabai --fetch-HEAD

Thats odd, since yabai has permissions for both accessibility and screen recording

Have you this at the beginning of your .yabairc?

yabai -m signal --add event=dock_did_restart action="sudo yabai --load-sa"
sudo yabai --load-sa

I do not have that in my .yabairc, should I add it? What does that do?

Yes, it enables scripting additions. You should read how to install yabai in the documentation.

Maybe you miss typed those configurations?

That didn't fix it, but I know have a notification letting me know I am missing a required boot arg! Once I get that sorted I beleive it will work now, thanks!!

Yes, you forgot to disable partially SIP.
