Adding external library fails

It seems that i cannot add an "external library" in immich.
I did a standard installation according to your Readme without any graphics card support (yet). So far everything works fine except the external library.
When i add a path on my LXC then immich finds and accepts it but immediately in the logs i find

[Nest] 200717 - 12/21/2024, 11:09:48 PM WARN [Microservices:LibraryService] No valid import paths found for library ....

I tested with mounted drives from my nas as well as an LXC internal folder which got (for the sake of testing) 777 for user:group immich:immich

drwxrwxrwx 2 immich immich 4096 Dec 21 22:08 test/

Any ideas what i am doing wrong?

FYI... i installed on debian instead of ubuntu and everything works fine.
