Ability to change or add to site title for tab names/etc. #3827
Comments
Hey @nneul I am working on this feature, i have done it for the home, dashboard. You want title for all the pages including main pages and nested / child pages like for example settings page we have child page like general appearance etc or you want only for the main pages. |
I'm actually less asking for the 'functional tab title labels', but rather more for "I have TWO instances of Kuma, and I can't distinguish between them." Example in slack notices these two alerts are from two different locations (I've got one at home, and one on a free Oracle cloud instance) to measure from outside and inside. Yes, I could define two separate slack applications with different names, but much of the content within that is determined by the instance. And here is what I get in my browser when I open them up: The only distinguishing mark is the URL. |
Something like a:
Config setting in Apearance, where that would be used in the page titles, notifications, etc. Or if you wanted to "protect branding", have it be something that is just prefixed/suffixed to the site name, like "Site Instance: [US West]", which would cause the titles and notifications to show:

Please note - I like your addition of including the functional tab titles, just not the specific use case I was targetting. |
Assign this to me . I want to work on this |

@CommanderStorm #5479 - feedback would be highly appreciated on the general approach/etc. |

🏷️ Feature Request Type
UI Feature
🔖 Feature description
Ability to set the title of the site. Right now, if you run multiple instances, they will all be "Uptime Kuma". I'd like to at least be able to say "Uptime Kuma - Virginia", "Uptme Kuma - Home", etc.
✔️ Solution
I'd like to be able to set the site title to clearly identify separate instances more than just looking at the URL.
❓ Alternatives
No response
📝 Additional Context
I did see another issue submitted where someone was asking to rename the entire site due to the 'Kuma' having an unfortunate translation, but this seems like a more narrowly focused request.
