In the case I'm using it on the pound sign / hashtag is not okay to have in the value. It would be nice to have it be able to be removed.

Thanks for this feature request! Yeah, this could be a convenient option. I'd like to see if anyone else would find this useful before adding it in.

In the meantime, for those wondering, a simple .replace('#','') works perfectly
