Some internationalised/localised strings are not used on the extension "about" page #241105

Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes

  • VS Code Version: 1.97.2
  • OS Version: Linux X64 6.9.3-76060903-generic

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create a VSCode extension with an localised description and command title (or install from the marketplace)
  2. Install the extension, and view that neither the extension description or command title use the localised string, nor does it fail to load a string - the english/default version is used.
  3. See screenshot below with pseudo-localised language pack enabled
