Abstract

"Consistency." Seems intuitive, but it's a surprisingly subtle concept. Many variations on the notion of consistency exist, all mapped to a single word.

In this session, Michael takes an abstract view of state and consistency. The concepts of dominant viewpoints and superobservers will supply us with tools to dissect the flavors of consistency and find useful ways to build systems in a distributed world.
