Expected Behavior

Game Capture should hook into League of Legends without causing freezes.

Current Behavior

After updating to OBS 31.0.1 (or 31.0.0), Game Capture no longer works properly with League of Legends. The game freezes when adding Game Capture as a source or when switching to a scene that contains it. Additionally, the Windows cursor continuously switches between normal and the loading icon.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Launch OBS (version 31.0.0 or 31.0.1).
  2. Add a "Game Capture" source and select League of Legends (The in-game window not the client).
  3. Switch to a scene containing the Game Capture source.
  4. Observe the issue:
  • The game freezes.
  • The Windows cursor keeps displaying the loading icon intermittently.
  • OBS fails to hook the game properly.

Anything else we should know?

Workaround:
Reverting to an earlier version of OBS (prior to 31.0.0) resolves the issue.

This is expected at the moment, Riot's anticheat is not compatible with modern certificates.
