"The pop-up would be triggered when a transcriber begins transcribing a page of a particular register type or date range and page number that is associated with a known unusual observation pattern. The two observation patterns we have identified where this would be useful are the appearance of the City Hall barometer readings on page 2, Sundays, and the appearance of relative humidity averages on page 1 (all days of the week). The Sunday p2 issue occurs in register type 150, p2, from 1890-1899. The relative humidity average issue occurs in register types 210, 220, and 240, p.1, from 1900-1917. The box would appear when the transcriber begins transcribing the page, and would explain what they might see on the page (perhaps include a visual of the City Hall barometer table or the relative humidity average so they can identify that they do indeed have "one of those pages") and redirect them to the appropriate FAQ/blog/other resource to explain how the page should be transcribed."
We are going to need a popup coming up when transcribing to see the FAQ/Blog.
@raakal Could you please describe more about the pop up here so we can discuss how to implement it?
