Hire an equity consultant to help with restructure

OpenOakland has been given the advice of several consultants to engage a professional service provider experienced in DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility)/JEDI(Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion), given our ongoing challenges with centering underrepresented voices. Since our initial training on restorative communication with SEEDS was received well, this seems like a really useful and important thing to prioritize.

We have a running list of potential vendors that can be used as a starting point. Based on research done to date, our current recommendation is to hire someone for an initial 1-2 hour consult, and get a quote for a workshop or three to help guide us through the specific actions needed to move forward.
