Hi!
Veracrypt is one of the most popular and reliable applications for local file encryption and data protection.
I encountered the following problems with Veracrypt on VanillaOS:
I open the .deb file by double-clicking and run it in "Sideload".
After some waiting, I get a message that the installation was successful
Error: the application icon does not appear on the desktop.
With another application (lantern), which I also installed from a .deb file, there is no such problem.
Second problem
I run the veracrypt application by typing "veracrypt" in the terminal, the application starts correctly.
I select the option to mount an existing crypto container, select my crypto container file.
Enter the password for the crypto container
Error: at this step the application should usually ask for the administrator password (this happened on Fedora), but it returns one of the following errors:
4.1. If the crypto container is in my "downloads" folder

I encountered the following problems with Veracrypt on VanillaOS:
First problem:
I download the Veracrypt installation file from their official website
https://www.veracrypt.fr/en/Downloads.html
(I choose the Debian 12 GUI version)
I open the .deb file by double-clicking and run it in "Sideload".
After some waiting, I get a message that the installation was successful
Error: the application icon does not appear on the desktop.
With another application (lantern), which I also installed from a .deb file, there is no such problem.

Error: at this step the application should usually ask for the administrator password (this happened on Fedora), but it returns one of the following errors:
4.1. If the crypto container is in my "downloads" folder
4.2. If the crypto container is on an external drive
