Can I work this? We've implemented something similar in our repo and I think it's really neato.

I don't see a contributing guide, so I don't know the etiquette of picking this up.

But in general, we support --open in the mix docs task, so maybe taking that as inspiration is a good idea. As for contribution etiquette—just go for it 😉
