I'd like to bring https://microbit.pinout.xyz/ to wider attention and work together to make it the official source for exploring the edge connector pinout, and pinouts for accessories.
It strikes me that V2 offers much more capacity for multiple add-on board support so knowing individual add-on pinouts could be potentially useful in order to identify compatible combinations. (At Pimoroni we considered a T connector for connecting multiple add-ons, but it wasn't really feasible given the limitations of V1)
I think we should:
Look into whether it's appropriate to bless microbit.pinout.xyz as official
refine the design accordingly
Determine how to communicate the differences between V1 and V2
Determine if it's possible to drive board pinouts from the same source as - https://makecode.microbit.org/extensions (ie: if an extension wants to be listed they must add a pinout.json or otherwise)

This would be great. We'd love to integrate it, but we also need to maintain and promote that it's a community contribution. We could have it in the navigation of tech.microbit.org and perhaps link directly to it eg tech.microbit.org/pinout-xyz or ekbed someohow on the site.
There may be some brand considerations to discuss here too and we can forward over the brand guidebook.
Sounds like a good plan, reaching out to @Gadgetoid for thoughts too.
A brand guidebook would be good to look over if we were to go down this route, I pretty much copied the micro:bit classroom homepage layout, but a more solid set of rules would be best still I think!
Going to have a look now at adding V2 support to this. Likely via a tab system above the micro:bit graphic.
