There's a weird behaviour with path.join() and system drive letters:
path.join('C:') = 'C:.'
See issue nodejs/node#14405

To keep the code clean, all places where a workaround for this issue is implemented should use sth. like a utility class/method.

To get all places, search for "workaround"
