We should add information about Python and the companies using Python on the homepage.

This could be a good feature for the college authorities who are visiting PythonExpress on someone's request.

I feel that this would be a good feature because when I asked my college teachers to request a workshop from PythonExpress, the first few questions that I faced were:

  • What is Python
  • Who is using Python
  • What is PythonExpress

So, if we can provide this information on the homepage or could provide the links on the homepage, that would be good.

@theskumar @vnbang2003 If you think this is a good feature to do, I can make a pull request.

I think it nice but UX is my worry. Can you send pull request with UI change so we can understand it better.

@vnbang2003 It can be done by adding a link to the page containing the details of Why should anyone be learning Python?. Check image for more details.

We already have FAQ page, why should we have this link here?

I feel FAQ have a different call to action, adding Why should you learn Python? here increases more chances that user will access the page. FAQ (in general) seems to be the answer to user queries regarding workshop content, etc.

@pulkitpahwa That sound good. but add image instead of text.

Did you mean that the text Why should you learn Python? be an image and not text ?

I mean text looks very long and doesn't fix UX . We need to find better way to display it .
@Praseetha-KR Can you help @pulkitpahwa on UX here ?

@vnbang2003 Are you asking me to do UI / UX? ☺️

If it is content that you're looking for, yes, I'll write up something.

We already have a bit about PythonExpress on the page.

If we are going to put "What is Python" & "Who uses Python" on the homepage too, it might get a bit clunky. Might be best to work together with a UI/UX person so that we can decide how much content to write.

I'll anyway come up with a draft.

@harisibrahimkv We are looking for content. Once we get content, we can get the suggestion from UI/UX team and place in on website .
